We are Damjan and Mojca. Together with our family, we work on a farm that we inherited from Mojca`s parents.

Our farm is situated at 923 meters above sea level, in the village of Podlanišče, nestled in the Cerkno hills. Here, nature is both harsh and immensely generous. Spring arrives later, and the northern wind blows colder. Yet, at the same time, the view stretches further, and the bustle of the valley quiets down.

The farm stands on the foundations of centuries-old tradition, infused with the fresh breath of new ideas.

​

In the past, our farm was known for the cultivation and processing of flax. Our linen was highly valued all the way to Trieste, which is also where our name originates. This farm was home to Mihael Peternel (1808-1884)—a priest, professor, natural scientist, polymath, self-taught polytechnic, and director of the first Realka school in Ljubljana. With the rise of industrialization, flax production on our farm ceased, and we turned, in a deeply traditional way, to crop farming and livestock breeding. Over time, dairy production became the farm’s main activity.

Nature is our home. We seek our path by observing its rhythms.​

On the farm, we strive for self-sufficiency and a sustainable way of farming and living. In our work and the farm’s development, we follow the principles of regenerative agriculture.

Tourism has become an important part of our farming life and is now what we are best known for.

We have transformed our old hayrack into a charming rental space, making us more than just a farm—we have become an idyllic wedding destination.
